Happy birthday, Dean Hazeltine!

I just want you to know what a positive influence you had on my life. People often ask me about my business and how I got started. I immediately respond that the origins stem from my classes at Brown University. I describe EN 9 and explain that for the first time in my life, I got excited about my education. I was always an excellent student but simply felt most of the information being taught lacked applications to real life.

Your classes inspired me. Your role as a teacher and mentor motivated me. My entrepreneurial spirit blossomed at Brown and I give you all the credit. People always respond how fortunate I am to make a career out of something I love. In reality, I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to be one of your students and one of your TAs, to have experienced your passion for teaching students, and to have learned what life is all about. Thank you again!
