Dear Barrett,

It is difficult for me to imagine Brown University without your contributions and impact upon the student body. It has been over 30 years since I sat in your classes and heard you espouse the merits of entrepreneurship. Since then you have taught, counseled and befriended hundreds, if not thousands of students. Surely the long list of those whose lives you've touched reads like an all-star who's who. Your generosity and commitment to the development of Brown students is beyond description. Thank you for all you have done for me, my family and for Brown.
